Abstract

These Regulations, consisting of 44 sections divided into nine Parts and completed by three Schedules, implement the Marine Pollution Act by providing specifications on prevention of pollution from oil, in particular on the preparation of oil pollution emergency plans and on oil record keeping (Part 2); they provide for the categorization of noxious liquid substances and their management on board of ships and vessels (Part 3); for the prevention of pollution from packaged harmful substances and garbage (Part 4 and Part 5) and for reporting requirements in case of incidents (Part 7).
