This Act enters into force on 26 September 2004.
Abstract

The purposes of this Act are: to provide for the development of the collective and individual interests of iwi in fisheries, fishing, and fisheries related activities for the benefit of all Maori; and to establish a framework for the allocation and management of settlement assets.
