Abstract This Act aims for protecting the interests of end-consumers, ensuring their general welfare, and establishing standards of conduct for business. The State shall ensure the health, safety, security, environmental, and quality standards for importing, refining, storing, exporting, refilling, transportation, distribution, and marketing of LPG. The Department of Energy (DOE) shall regulate, supervise, and monitor the LPG industry and all LPG industry participants. The Act further provides for registration and license for operation, regulations for Auto-LPG container importers and manufacturers, LPG cylinder exchange and swapping program, monitoring and enforcement mechanism, and prohibited acts and penalties.
