Abstract

The present Law implements the Council Directive 96/82/EC of 9 December 1996 on the control of major-accident hazards involving dangerous substances. The purpose of the present Law is the prevention of major accidents caused by hazardous substances. The text consists of 6 articles as follows: Purpose of the Law (1); Sphere of application, definition of terms (2); Duties of operators (3); Duties and powers of authorities (4); Competent executing authority (5); Entry into force (6).
