Abstract

The present Ordinance implements article 6 of the Livestock Protection Law (LGBl. No. 71/1999). The Ordinance lays down provisions concerning the protection of animals before and at the time of slaughtering. The text consists of 11 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Requirements pertaining to slaughterhouses (2); Slaughtering or killing outside slaughterhouses (3); Final provisions (4). Five Annexes are enclosed.
