The Regulation specifies which are the classes of animals in respect of which a payment from the Fund may be made and sets the conditions for payment (sect. 4). Section 5 prescribes that a patron who sales prescribed livestock to a licensed livestock dealer shall pay to the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development a levy for each head of prescribed livestock sold. Section 9 determines which is the maximum amount of payment that a patron can receive from the Fund.
