Abstract

This Act defines the requirements and licensing conditions for carrying out livestock operation, i.e. the raising, maintenance and use of pigs, cattle, poultry or any other animal prescribed by regulation. The Act provides for livestock operation licences issuance, renewal, transfer, duration and suspension. The Act also covers inspections and offences and penalties, provides for registration of licences and authorizes the establishment of advisory committees for matters related to livestock operations.
