Abstract

These Regulations impose certain requirements on persons that carry out the business of a livestock mart in relation with the trade in bovine animals. Sale of animals shall be prohibited unless the name of the herd owner is registered, the animal has been tested for tuberculosis in ruminating animals and a statement regarding such testing is displayed. Bovine animal brought to a livestock mart shall comply with regulations 8 and 9 of the European Communities (Identification and Registration of Bovine Animals Regulations 2009.
