Abstract This Act provides for the identification and traceability of farm animals and their products for this purposes establishes the National Livestock Identification, Registration and Traceability System and the National Livestock Identification Registration and Traceability Registry. The Minister may, by Order published in the Gazette, declare a compulsory national livestock identification and registration area in relation to which the Minister shall prescribe the national livestock identification technologies.
