Abstract The Regulations provide of the discipline of identification and movement of cattle; cattle must be tagged in accordance with arrangements approved by the Department of Agriculture; cattle must be registered in accordance with arrangements operated by the Department of Agriculture; cattle may not be moved between holdings except with the authorisation of a movement certificate issued in accordance with arrangements made by the Department of Agriculture. Compliance with these obligation is responsibility of each person (natural or legal) who has care or control of cattle (to any degree, and whether or not shared with others).
