Abstract

Regulation 4 establishes a general prohibition on import, sale and use of unauthorised substances (listed under Schedule 2); Regulation 5 states that a person commits an offence if imports into the Falkland Islands or places on the market for sale for administration to animals any of the following substances: thyrostatic substances; beta-agonists; stilbenes, stilbene derivatives including their salts and esters; or oestradiol 17P and its ester-like derivatives. Subject to regulation 7, a person commits an offence who administers to an animal intended for human consumption any of the following substances: thyrostatic substances; beta-agonists; stilbenes, stilbene derivatives including their salts and esters; or oestradiol 17P and its ester-like derivatives.
