The Board shall consist of seven members (sect. 4). Functions of the Board are: to administer livestock support programs; to promote cooperatives in the livestock industry; to monitor the industry and collect and disseminate information; to maintain a register of livestock farmers; to set quality guidelines for the sale of livestock and livestock products; to carry out other functions relative to research, advising, communication, etc. Section 10 grants regulation making powers to the Minister.
