Sections 3 to 11 prescribe various littering in public and private places and related offences. A general penalty for these offences is prescribed by section 12. The offender may be required by persons authorized under section 19 of this Act to clean up and remove the litter deposited in a public place. Section 15 defines the power of a Local Authority to enforce removal of litter. Section 7 specifies sentencing factors, i.e. facts that shall be taken into consideration when a Court sentences a person for littering.
