Abstract

The purpose of the present Act is to regulate and monitor the liquor industry in the Province to protect the public from the harm that may be caused by making and selling liquor or products that contain liquor. Moreover, the Act aims to prevent problems as under-age drinking, the over-consumption of alcohol and overcrowding or unsafe conditions in public place to minimize the potentially negative impact of liquor sales on neighbourhoods and communities.
