The provisions of this Act apply to the production of liquid fuel without prejudice to the special rules prescribed in the Act which provides for the imposition of excise duty on the fuel. The Act further provides for release of biofuel for consumption; fuel handling; requirements for fuel and attestation of the conformity of fuel; obligation to hold relevant authorization; obligation to register fuel tanks; state supervision; and liability.
