Abstract

This Act regulates certain matters in relation to adoption by the Commonwealth of the Convention on Limitation of Liability for Maritime Claims, such as definition of the application sphere of the Convention, the definition of priority of certain claims, determination of the limit of that liability by the court, evidence of matters regarding the status of other countries vis-à-vis the Convention, and regulation making powers of the Governor General.
