Abstract

The present Regulation enacts the Safe Drinking Water Act, 2002. The Regulation lays down provisions relating to licensing of municipal drinking water systems. In particular, section 1 establishes that the day that a municipal drinking water licence is first issued to the owner of a municipal drinking water system is specified as the day on and after which the owner shall ensure that an accredited operating authority is in charge of the system. The text consists of 5 sections and 18 Schedules.
