Abstract

The present Regulations are made under the Primary Forest Products Marketing Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to licensing and furnishing of information in the primary forest products sector. For the purpose of the present Regulations «pulpwood chips" means wood chips, including sawmill chips, intended for processing into wood pulp, paper, or any manufactured products. Section 2 establishes that any person appointed by the Nova Scotia Primary Forest Products Marketing Board and authorized in writing by the Minister of Natural Resources may enter at any reasonable time the business premises of a person or persons engaged in the marketing of primary forest products, or the premises of such person or persons where the records are kept to examine his business records respecting the marketing of primary forest products to determine whether the Primary Forest Products Marketing Act and Regulations made thereunder are being or have been complied with.
