This Legislative Instruction enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Legislative Instruction, consisting of 29 articles, establishes the Moniliophthora roreri pest erradication Plan. It specifies the Strategic Emergency Plan in case of infection by this plant pathogen of cocoa tree. The State Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Suplly (MAPA) will be the competent authority entitled to implement this legislation, carry out controls, and institute a National Group for Phytosanitary Emergency under the MAPA, entitled to identify, propose and implement protecting and preventive activities to control this pest in Brazil.
