The present Decree is composed of 5 Chapters divided into 28 articles. Chapter 1 deals with terms and definitions. Chapter 2 defines the scope of application. Chapter 3 provides for the following matters: protection responsibilities against ionizing radiations; safety and security; transportation and emission of radioactive materials; transfer of possession or exploitation of radiation sources to other persons; and introduction of used and consumed radioactive materials into Syria.
