Abstract This Legislative Decree aims at controlling and regulating the commerce and working of precious minerals. The present Legislative Decree is composed of 24 articles. Article 1 deals with terms and definitions. Article 2 entrusts the Ministry of Trade and Agriculture to control the commerce and working of precious minerals. Articles 3-5 provide for industrial standards and marking of precious minerals. Article 6 specifies the legal standards for precious minerals. Articles 7-9 refer to the steps to be taken for submitting the application. Articles 10-12 concern the measures to be taken for imported precious minerals. Article 13 defines the claimed fees. Article 15 specifies the requirements and conditions for precious mineral exhibitions. Articles 16-20 contain offences and penalties.
