Article 1 abrogates Paragraph 2 of Item A of article 1 of Legislative Decree No. 27 of 1981 related to the establishment of the General Authority for Exploitation and Development of Euphrates Basin. Article 2 entrusts the General Agency for Land Reclamation established by Legislative Decree No. 27 of 1981 with functions of the General Authority for Exploitation and Development of Euphrates Basin. Articles 3 and 4 provide for the transfer of funds, assets and employees of the General Authority for Exploitation and Development of Euphrates Basin to the General Agency for Land Reclamation. Article 6 provides for the replacement of the General Authority for Exploitation and Development of Euphrates Basin by the General Agency for Land Reclamation. Article 7 deals with the formation of a committee composed of representatives from the Ministry of Irrigation, Central Agency for Control and representatives of the General Authority and General Agency to lay down foundations necessary for the definition of the value of assets and liabilities.
