This Legislative Decree enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

The aim of this Legislative Decree is to regulate the production and importation of pesticides. This Legislative Decree is composed of 16 articles. Article 1 deals with terms and definitions. Articles 2 and 3 ban the production, preparation, trade and importation of pesticides without obtaining a previous licence from the Ministry of Trade and Agriculture. Article 4 entrusts the Minister of Trade and Agriculture to issue a list of all registered and allowed pesticides. Articles 5 and 6 define the requirements and conditions for chemical pesticides and their packages. Article 7 specifies requirements and conditions for the conservation and storage of pesticides. Articles 8-10 relate to procedures for the registration of pesticides. Article 11 defines licence fees and taxes. Article 12 provides for the obligations of licensees. Article 14 contains offences and penalties.
