Abstract The Legislative Decree has the scope to complete the modernization process, launched with the Law No. 38/2005, of the agri-food markets. The Decree includes provisions concerning inter-professional agreements, contract farming and sales, to ensure the correct functioning of the market and create competition as well as to favour improvement of farmers contractual position and ensuring a high level of human health and of consumer interests protection.
