It provides that a person may not engage in any residential lead-based paint activities in the State unless licensed or certified pursuant to this chapter. The chapter further provides for license or certificate requirement for lead-based paint activities in public buildings, commercial buildings and superstructures; notification requirement; and approval of training courses. Finally, the chapter provides that the department shall maintain a registry of leased residential dwellings built before 1978 that are lead-safe as designated by the property owners.
