Abstract The scope of this Law shall be imposition of water pollution charges on citizens, business entities and organizations and payment of revenues to the state budget thereby. Natural persons, business entities and organizations that pollute water and deteriorate water quality shall be liable to payment of water pollution charges. State administrative body in charge of water management shall provide information on water pollution to tax authority that must register the payer of water pollution charges, within the first month following the issuance of water management permit. Information on water polluters shall contain the following information and data: (a) name, address and location of the payer; (b) state registration number of water polluter; (c) the quantity of pollutants discharged to waterbodies; (d) the quantity of effluent waste water discharged; and (e) the contents of pollutants in effluent waste water discharged. This Law contains the calculation formula for water pollution charges and classifies water pollution charges by the types of pollutants discharged to waterbodies.
