Abstract This Law sets forth the rules and procedures regarding the establishment, functioning of the Turkish Atomic Energy Authority. The purpose of this Law is to render the peaceful use of atomic energy in Turkey for the benefits of state in accordance with the national development plans. The Law further sets forth provisions concerning the responsibilities of the Authority and states that the Turkish Atomic Energy Authority is here by enforced to determine and recommend the basic principles and policies, to implement, organize, support, coordinate and control the scientific, technical and administrative studies and affairs. The Law also sets forth the organization of the Authority and states that the Atomic Energy Commission, the Advisory Council, Specialized Departments and the Affiliated Centers are the main bodies .
