Abstract This Law defines the necessary procedures and manner for evaluation, treatment and restoration of the damage (on the territory of the Republic of Serbia) caused by: earthquakes, floods, flash floods, atmospheric disasters, drought, snow drift and avalanche, accumulation of ice on the river, falling and landslides, fire, explosions, uncontrolled release of substances, pouring or distribution of harmful gaseous, liquid or solid chemical and radioactive substances, demolition of dams on the river, epidemics of infectious diseases, livestock diseases and plant diseases and pest outbreaks and similar large scale phenomena which can endanger the health and lives of the people or phenomena that result in the destruction of material goods.
