Abstract The purpose of the present Law is: 1) to promote an economic and rational use of energy; 2) to promote the use of renewable and environment-friendly energy; 3) to reduce the dependence on fossil fuels; 4) to implement the federal legislation on energy. The Canton shall cooperate with the federal state, other cantons, local authorities and economic and industrial associations.
