Abstract

The present Law lays down provisions relating to the supply of electricity, gas, long distance heating and potable water to the Canton Basel-Stadt. The supply shall be safe, environment-friendly, sufficient and economic within the framework of optimal energy use. The text consists of 55 articles divided into 11 chapters as follows: General provisions (I); Supply devices and connection (II); Transporation and delivery (III); Special duties (IV); Prices and fees (V); Accounting and right of appeal (VI); Public and private facilities (VII); Transfer of tasks to third parties (VIII); Commission (IX); Final provisions (X).
