Abstract The present Law lays down provisions relating to the slaughtering of animals. Article 1 establishes that animals shall be put to sleep before slaughtering. Article 2 specifies that the Home Secretary of the Reich shall issue separate regulations as to slaughtering procedures. As long as there are no such provisions, the “Länder” are authorized to issue related regulations. The text consists of 4 articles. Full text German
