Abstract This Law sets out conditions for the protection of agricultural and forest plant varieties as well as the protection of breeders' rights. The text consists of 54 articles divided into 8 Parts as following: General Provisions (1); Procedures for the protection of varieties (2); Breeder' rights and duties (3); Cessation of breeder's right (4); Fees (5); Inspection (6); Penalties (7) and Final and transitional provisions (8). The text contains a list of definitions related to the terms therein employed, such as plant variety, protected plant variety, breeder, competent authority, etc. According to the content and duration of breeders' rights and duties, the Law also deals with the transfer, lease, representation and cessation of such rights. The management and supervision of this of this Law lies with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture. Full text Serbian
