It includes that part of the sea which is contiguous to the coast of Transjordan and lies within a distance of 3 nautical miles from the lo-water line. The provisions of this Law apply to commercial fishing in marine waters only (art. 3). Articles 4 to 6 deal with fees for licences for catch. Article 7 prohibits the use of explosives in marine and freshwater. Powers of enforcement of public officials are specified in article 8. The Council of Ministers shall regulate all matters listed in article 9. The remaining articles provide for fines and offences.
