Abstract The Law provides for establishment of a legally responsible federal foundation under public law under the name of Federal Foundation for Equality in Berlin that would be in charge to strengthen and promote equality between women and men in Germany. The purpose of the foundation is to compiling, processing and providing information, data and facts on the subject of equality, strengthening of practical gender equality work, development and testing of innovative measures to achieve equality, networking of federal, state, local authorities, civil society, science and business for equality policy initiative. Foundation assets shall be provided by the federal government. The funds and income from the foundation's assets and other income are used to fulfil the purpose of the foundation. This Law consists of 17 Articles which refers to the purpose of the foundation, board of directors and committee structures, advisory boards, employees and budget, dissolution and reporting.
