Abstract This Law here regulates the determination of temporary measures aimed to limit the prices of products of special importance for human life and health, as well as the manner of application of such measures. Temporary measures of this Law shall be determined in order to prevent market disturbances and for the purpose of elimination of negative effects of increasing prices of products of special importance for life and health of people. This Law does not apply to products for which pricing is prescribed separately by special laws. Measures determined in this text may last as long as the duration of circumstances that caused market disruption, among rising prices of products of particular importance to human life and health. These measures must be reviewed periodically, and at least once every three months. Necessary measures and the list of involved products shall be determined in proportion to the goal and expectations of deriving effects. Measures object of this Law are: setting the highest price level; lowering prices to a certain level; margin regulation, etc. Products of special importance for human life and health are considered to be food items, personal hygiene items, baby food and equipment, heating instruments and materials, household chemicals, etc. Article 9 sets out related penalty measures.
