Abstract This Law establishes legal and organizational grounds for standardization. Objects of standardization shall be produce (works, services), process of elaboration, manufacturing, exploitation (use), storage and transportation thereof. The scope of standardization shall be to ensure safety of produce. State supervision and control in the sphere of standardization shall be carried out by the Cabinet of Ministers and the authorized state institution. The following standards shall be applicable on the national territory: (a) state standards; (b) international standards; (c) regional standards; technical terms; (d) branch standards; (e) standards of enterprises; and (f) rules, regulations, instructions, methodical instructions, norms and recommendations. State standards and technical terms must contain: (a) requirements for safety of produce and inadmissibility of risks to human life, health and environment; and (b) main consumer characteristics, requirements for packaging and labelling.
