Abstract

The present Law lays down provisions relating to mining on behalf of the Canton and the exploration of the subsoil. The purpose of the Law is to ensure that natural resources and the subsoil are being used in the interest of the Canton and the environment in general. The text consists of 31 articles divided into 7 Parts as follows: Object and purpose (1); Definition of terms (2); Right of disposal (3); Licensing (4); Performance of the concessionaire (5); Construction and operation of facilities (6); Final and transitional provisions (7).
