The present Law enters into force on 1 January 1972.
Abstract

The present Law establishes that the Canton Basel-Landschaft has the sovereign right to extract salt, to import salt and sell salt. The District Council may transfer to corporations the exploitation of salt deposits under the present Law by means of concessions. The text consists of 8 articles as follows: Salt monopoly (1); Organization (2); Deposits (3); Salt prices and monopoly fees (4); Penalties (5); Execution (6); Funds (7); Entry into force, repeal of existing legislation (8).
