A total of at least 82 hectares of recreational garden areas shall be available, of which at least 40 hectares shall be in urban areas; while the recreational gardens should be close to the residential areas. Articles 2 provides the long-term safeguarding of recreational garden by setting up land-use planning; conclusion of long-term contracts; and acquisition of suitable areas. This Law is designed in 4 Parts as follow and contains 16 Articles: Protective measures (1); Leasing of the gardens by cantons(2); Leasing of the gardens by municipalities (3); and Implementation and final provisions (4).
