Abstract

The purpose of the present Law is to regulate hunting and the protection of wild living mammals and birds and their living space. In particular, the Law aims at the promotion of a healthy wild living animal stock and the conservation of the native animal species in their diversity. Article 2 establishes that the Canton is empowered to issue regulations on hunting. The text consists of 26 articles divided into 6 Parts as follows: Principles (I); Enforcement authorities (II); Hunting rights (III); Protective measures (IV); Penalties (V); Final and transitional provisions (VI).
