Entry into force notes
This Law enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette, and it will fully apply on 1 January 2008.
Abstract

This Law sets the minimum requirements for the protection and welfare of certain types of animals in terms of their breeding, keeping, care and housing, protection of animals at the farm holding, protection and welfare of animals during their transport and related activities, slaughtering or killing, also including the protection of dogs and pets, animals in zoos and the protection of animals used in experimental and other scientific purposes on the territory of the Republic of Macedonia.
