The basic purpose of this Law is the concrete adoption and implementation (on the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina) of the Unique Convention on Narcotic Drugs from 1961 (also amended by the Protocol from 1972 on amendments to the Unique Convention on Narcotic Drugs, the 1961 Convention on Psychotropic Substances, United Nations Convention Against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances from 1998), with the aim of preventing and combating illicit drugs,
