The present Law enters into force on 1 September 2013.
Abstract

The present Law regulates the protection of the population in case of disasters, emergencies and armed conflicts. Moreover, it establishes the responsibilities of municipalities and Canton and defines the guidance and cooperation with partner organizations. The text consists of 26 articles divided into 10 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Responsibility (2); Management (3); Partner organizations (4); Specific duties and responsibilities (5); Obligations of population (6); Costs, compensation, liability (7); Administration of justice (8); Penalties (9); Transitional and final provisions (10).
