The present Law enters into force on 1 January 1993.
Abstract

The present Law aims at the conservation, protection and safeguard of landscapes and cultural monuments. Article 2 establishes that residents of the Canton and communities - together with owners as well as users - shall ensure the protection, conservation and maintenance of cultural monuments as part of the cultural heritage. The text consists of 28 articles divided into 9 Parts as follows: Principles (A); Objects of protection (B); Protective measures (C); Contributions (D); Organization (E); Enforcement (F); Objections and appeals of nature and heritage conservation organizations (G); Penalties (H); Final provisions (I).
