Abstract

The purpose of this Law is to regulate the management and exploitation of mineral resources, and all activities related to mining operations. All mineral resources shall be property of the State, and any legal entity or natural person wishing to conduct activities of mining operations shall apply for a mineral resource licence granted by a competent authority. To facilitate the management and exploitation of mineral resources there shall be different categories of licences available including: artisan mining licence; pits and quarries mining licence; gem-stone mining licence. An applicant or holder of a licence shall pay the State fees of registration, application for suspension, renewal, transfer, and annual land rental.
