Abstract

The present Act lays down provisions relating to land use planning in the Canton of Nidwald. In particular, it ensures an economical use of soil, regulated settlements with a view to conserve natural living space, the cultural heritage of the Canton, a sustainable development and coordination of competences. It aims also at the unification of the construction law. The text consists of 253 articles divided into 9 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Planning regulations (II); Land consolidation and border regulations (III); Compensation payments and financial contributions (IV); Building regulations (V); Building authorizations and building police (VI); Legal protection (VII); Implementation, survey and penalties (VIII); Transistional and final provisions (IX).
