According to the Act, persons trained in the field of agriculture and natural resources are given priority to receive legal protection and facilities for investigation in the agriculture field. Actors of the agriculture sector shall form the regional or national Union and Guild and the Government is required to transfer its possessive duties to these unions. Mapping of the forests, natural resources and abandoned land are responsibilities of the Ministry of Agriculture. The Law requires government to combat desertification, soil erosion, sand flowing and invasion of dust. For the sustainable development of the environment, the government shall promote relevant studies and strengthen research facilities. The Ministry of Agriculture should provide a data bank for actors of the agriculture sector.
