Abstract The scope of this Law shall be to create favorable conditions for healthy and safe human live and health and to prevent adverse effects on human life, health and environment. “Hygienic conditions and requirements” shall be intended the norms contained in the hygienic rules, regulations, instructions and standards. “Health risk” means any potential and negative impact arising from non-hygienic conditions and requirements that could put at risk human health. “Healthy and safe environment” shall be intended adequate sanitary and hygienic conditions and requirements. Hygienic requirement shall be applicable to water standards for potable water supply, either centralized or decentralized, to households, air quality, food quality and food safety, and domestic and non-domestic waste. Citizens shall be granted the right of access to information related to food safety and to participate in public monitoring of implementation of the legislation on protection of public health. This Law consists of VII Chapters divided into 22 Articles. Chapter I lays down general provisions. Chapter II regards health conditions and requirements. Chapter III regards health impact assessment. Chapter IV establishes powers of state administration and local government in the field of protection of public health. Chapter V regards healthcare management and organization. Chapter VI regards health assessment, supervision and protection of public health. Chapter VII contains miscellaneous provisions.
