Abstract The purpose of the present Law is to regulate the implementation of the federal legislation on hunting and completes it. Furthermore, the Law endeavours to: a) conserve the variety and living space of wild mammals and birds in the Canton; b) protect and promote endangered animal species; c) promote local and cantonal protected areas; d) limit the damage caused by wild animals to a minimum.
