This Law enters into force on the eighth day from the day of its publication in the “Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia”.
Abstract

This Law regulates basic conditions for the use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in closed systems and for their deliberate release into the environment. The Law completely bans the import and commercial cultivation of GMOs in Serbia.
